We all are on a journey in life, where our path leads can be altered by many different factors along the way. How we view ourselves, each other and how we make choices, is affected, by not just our experiences, but how we process them. How we look at our life, job, friends, family and ourselves is impacted by our views from the lens we look through. My passion is to help others clear their lens, process the life events they have encountered and allow the idea of new beginnings, fresh starts and bright futures to become within sight.
I have been a nurse for 31 years, a single mom for 20 years, raised two wonderful children, then pursued a Masters in counseling. By using my life experiences alone I believe I can inspire others. However, by using the education and my passion to see God work in the life’s of others as he did mine and those I have worked with through out my internship, inspires me. I want those who feel there is no way, that their situation can not possible change for the better, to realize their potential, their calling, and find healing in mind, body and spirit.
I studied undergraduate at Oral Roberts University with two majors, nursing and psychology, graduating back in 1990. I decided in 2016 to pursue my Masters in counseling at The Kings University graduating in 2019. I use Cognitive Behavioal Theory, where by renewing ones mind, thoughts, then ones actions will mostly change as well. Where do you find yourself? Do you find you are discouraged, anxious of what’s next, and wonder how you ever got to the place you are or why? I’m here to listen and guide you to bring clarity to those desperate or confusing times.

I have worked with Tammy for about 8 months now. I started out just needing help with anxiety and stress at work, but working on myself and my core beliefs has beautifully led into working on many areas of my life. I am more courageous, I feel better equipped to help my family, and my marriage was good but now we aspire for greatness. My husband has started going to his own therapy and there is much hope and joy in our lives together and for our kids too. When you’re going through therapy you put in the time and dedication to understand yourself, but one of the greatest things is having someone walk alongside you. Thank you, Tammy!! I would recommend Tammy to anyone wanting to improve their life.

Tammy Varghese actually listens to what you’re saying, and helps you cut through the emotions of your memories while still validating the emotions. In my opinion that skill is needed to get to the root of the problem. She then gives you a strategy to see what is causing that problem, along with mental “tools” and exercises to first cope and manage your problem.

I have felt less anxious after having 2 sessions with my therapist. She listens to me and offers guidance.

Horrible. Judgemental. No warmth. I ended the first session within ten minutes. She seemed she had no care to talk to me or learn about me and rolled her eyes and sighed with annoyance. She should not be a counselor. Her description of herself is absolutely deceiving.

Mrs. Varghese has been excellent for me. She has given me tools to use to help myself while working through a lot of my problems. She is patient, but also ask you those tough questions that are needed. She has been a pleasure to work with.

Tammy is a great listener and during our even our first session I felt a breakthrough in how I perceive others and how I believe others perceive me. Tammy was able to shift my mindset in helping me focus on what I need to work on for myself.

I appreciated being able to talk with Tammy, but did not feel that the session went well. I did not feel heard or understood, but instead judged and brushed aside. Within 15 minutes of chatting, Tammy decided I could not be helped on this platform and that my account should be closed. It did not feel like she tried to get to know me or my problem. It did not feel that she used much tact in her responses toward me. In all my experience with counseling/therapy (Christian and secular), I never had such a negative experience. In the future, I hope Tammy will ask more clarifying questions with new clients before jumping to conclusions or labeling them. I wish her the best.

Tammy supported and encouraged me through a time of depression and overwhelming anxiety. She took the time to really hear me and then she offered me ways to help reduce my anxiety and identify lies I believed about myself. I really loved how she incorporated scripture into my healing process. She someone I could go to for an understanding ear, no judgment, just care. Thanks, Tammy.

Tammy is patient, calm and understanding. Even if it seems nobody could understand what you're going through, Tammy breaks it down in a simple way, helps you to see the solution and works with you to feel better.

Tammy has been helping me understand the importance to stay calm through meditation. This helps me get out of the fight or flight and get back to a calm state for a more logical way of thinking. This helps with making decisions and a feeling of self-control. I appreciate her experience and when she shares Bible verses and how they apply to my situation or a principle I am struggling with. I feel that she can relate to what I am feeling. There is one time when I felt she spoke a bit more and I didn't feel I had enough time to talk or be heard but I voiced my concern and we did better after that.

I cannot recommend Tammy enough. I haven’t tried counselling before because I thought it wasn’t for me. I now realise that finding the right counsellor makes all the difference.
I went to talk to Tammy weekly and tell her when I felt I was no longer able to control my anger and everything in my life was going wrong. Tammy is very incisive in identifying the issues. My sessions with her have not only helped me gain an understanding of my habits and patterns but also given me the tools to break the bad habits and understand what is important. As a result I realized that I need to be in control, grounded and confident in all parts of my life and most importantly, I feel capable of moving forward in my life. My only regret is that I hadn’t found Tammy sooner. ❤️
