As your therapist, I will listen with patience and encouragement and without judgement. My expertise includes reducing depression and anxiety, and helping you through hard times to flourish. My approach is intuitive and creative, yet is also evidence-based, using mindfulness training, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) , expressive arts, and more to reduce your distress and improve coping. Our sessions will provide you an opportunity to express feelings and learn new skills to improve your quality of life. In your confidential sessions, you will discover the power of telling your story. You can choose to let go of past issues, learn how to be mindful of the present, and/or discover and achieve your vision of the future. You will learn simple, effective tools to help you access and use your unique motivation to change the thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that are worsening your symptoms.
Am I the right counselor for you? My clients tell me my strengths include my ability to relate with empathy (to the story, the person, the struggle, and the healing). My ability to see and hear details, patterns, reasons for resistance, and true motivation for change, can assist with helping you achieve insight and lasting change. Though not useful in every situation, clients report that my sense of humor and irony help them see through their "moment" (fear, angst, etc.) and move through it, maybe even with a smile..

Dana is so wonderful. Her listening style is detail oriented and she responds appropriately to my concerns and the topics I want to cover in our sessions. I don’t think I’ve ever had a better therapist.
