About me

Greetings! My name is Dr. Christina Rudawski. Welcome to my practice! I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and Certified Alcohol and Addiction Counselor. I obtained my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Midwestern University in Illinois. I completed my internship at Elgin Community Mental Health Center and my postdoctoral training at Larned State Hospital in Larned, KS. I completed an Accelerated Addiction program at College of DuPage and interned at Lutheran Social Services in Elgin, IL. Additionally, I am a licensed sex offender evaluator.

I have a rich experience in applying behavioral science principles in a broad range of diversified settings and a wide variety of clinical psychopathology. My extensive background includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy as a primary therapeutic modality, consistent with evidence-based practice, and the current managed care environment. My clinical expertise includes Addictions, Adult and Adolescent Psychology, Health Psychology, Rehabilitation Psychology, Integrated Behavioral Medicine, Medical-Psychiatric Comorbidity, Severe and Persistent Mental Illness, Personality Disorders, Parent Coaching, Parent Skills Training in Positive Discipline, Chronic Pain, and Trauma. I am proficient in psychological assessment and psychotherapy. I also utilize Biofeedback and Bibliotherapy as needed.

I believe in the power of self-knowledge. As a psychologist, my goal is to help you uncover your true potential in order to lead a life that is worth celebrating. My goal is to provide you with a safe, secure judgment free environment and to assist you in giving voice to the thoughts and feelings which are difficult to realize and give voice to.

I am a lifelong learner and am updating my skills through continuing education classes in order to provide you with the most up to date techniques and services.

Difficult situations of the past can’t be changed, however, we can work together to improve your personal self-understanding and resolve challenges in your life. Together we will unearth long-standing behavior patterns or negative perceptions that may be holding you back from experiencing a more fulfilling and meaningful life.

I look forward to meeting you and working with you!
