I have been in clinical practice nearly thirty years and am generally perceived as a kind and wise man. I am aware of the latest psychotherapeutic strategies and offer cutting edge treatment recommendations if unable to provide them directly. Influences are: Virgina Satir, Joseph Campbell, Joseph Goldstein, Victor Frankle, Eckhart Tolle. I encourage most clients to begin some awareness "mindfulness" practice. This will increase awareness of subconscious thoughts and beliefs and accelerate the process of treatment. I am goal focused and remain that way throughout. All work is centered on increasing awareness of the unconscious and subconscious thought patterns that perpetuate maladaptive behavior and human misery. Short term and crisis oriented situations are a preference. I am presently giving special attention to awareness of and recovery from narcissistic relationships. "Mind and awareness are different things" "Awareness is Healing in Itself"

Brian has provided me with a myriad of tools that I can use to engage with the present moment in times of both acute and sustained anxiety, and was definitely a refreshing change from my experience with traditional talk therapy. He was able to gently encourage me to sit with uncomfortable feelings to better understand them and was friendly and approachable.

Brian was so helpful and made me feel so much better in one session. He made sure he had enough time with me for the first session. He asked me questions and was very engaged in what was going on in my life. He wasn’t judgmental and reminds you of certain things to pay attention to that may be causing you problems. I was thinking of getting a therapist for years and happy that certain events brought me to Brian at the right time. Worth every penny.
