Hello and welcome to the BetterHelp community. I'm grateful that you've taken the time to visit my profile page.
Here's a little about me: I have a BA from Vanderbilt University and an MSSW from the University of Texas at Austin. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Texas with specialized training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), and eating disorders.
I am passionate about helping people to live their healthiest lives. By employing a variety of evidence-based modalities and mindfulness practices, my supportive approach to wellness encourages lasting change. Guided by the understanding that we can accept ourselves wholeheartedly while also working toward growth, I use a multifaceted and individualized approach for each of my clients. Whether you are interested in managing your stress, maintaining healthy habits, or improving your interpersonal relationships, I can help.
Regardless of your specific goals, I will meet you where you are. I will help you identify both your strengths and your barriers to change, and together we can co-create a plan to help you live your healthiest, most connected life.

Anne is the only therapist I’ve ever worked with that didn’t make me feel like I was being judged. I feel very lucky that I was randomly assigned to her because it feels like it was always meant to be.

I really like the way she puts me first. I feel like the advice she gives is tailored to me and not generalizations. She helps me with options I sometimes have a hard time seeing and I just like talking with her.

Anne is so professional. Her expertise in CBT has helped me tremendously while I am going through a challenging time in my life. She is a good listener and asks good questions to understand the situation better and therefore able to offer better help. Her responsiveness to my offline messages is also extremely helpful. I highly recommend Anne Wakefield.
