I am a licensed clinical social worker in the state of Michigan and have been practicing since 2016. Are you struggling with depression, anxiety or stress? Do you feel overwhelmed and unable to focus on getting better? I provide therapy in a safe and accepting environment where your problems can start to feel less overwhelming or all-consuming.
Seeking therapy is an investment in oneself, and I believe it is my job as a therapist to empower clients to find and live their own paths and truths. The path to healing begins with a trusting and accepting therapist-client relationship; I provide a space that recognizes and centers the unique strengths, values, and lived experiences of everyone, and I seek to partner with clients to best meet their needs. Respecting client self-determination is fundamental to my practice, which is grounded in cultural humility and recognizing the ways in which our values and identities form the many facets of who we are.
I have learned over the years that therapy needs to be a place where you feel safe, supported, and don’t feel judged. I am compassionate and supportive but willing to be direct in my guidance. I want to partner with you to help you gain a better understand of yourself and how you interact with the world around you. I want you to come as you are and be able express yourself in whatever way is most comfortable.
My therapy treatment is based in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). However, I believe therapy is not “one size fits all” and I utilize a multi-modal and holistic approach as necessary. Having someone to speak to right now is so important. Let’s see if we can work together and face whatever it is you’re going through.

I’m very appreciative of Mary. She listened to me and taught me helpful ways to think and respond to situations that caused problems for me. I would recommend her to everyone I know, but then she would be too busy for me and I cannot allow that hehe.

Mary has been the most understanding and supportive counsellor I’ve had. She makes you feel heard and understood and her kind personality just shines through. She has helped me so much and I would recommend her to anyone else looking for a therapist!
