About me

Greetings! My name is Bobbi Jo and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Michigan. My areas of specialty include career counseling, life transitions, parenting, grief/loss, divorce, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, communication, and relationships.

I describe my counseling approach as eclectic, feeling that it is my duty to serve clients in meeting their goals of counseling. This may require an environment of therapy that differs and ranges depending on your expressed goals of counseling. I tend to lean most naturally towards cognitive behavioral therapy and solution focused therapy, but draw in from other styles as needed depending on the presenting concerns.

I completed my masters degree in counseling from Western Michigan University, and am a certified counselor supervisor. I spent a decade working as a school counselor with middle and high school aged students, making me particularly aware of the challenges parents face today in raising well-balanced children.

I would welcome the opportunity to be a trustworthy confidante to assist you in you in navigating any life situation that brought you here looking for a counselor.
