I am a Licensed Professional Counselor here in the state of Texas. I have been working part time for 4 of the last 6 years. I took the opportunity to travel for the other 2 years and spent that time in Europe and Southeast Asia working with diverse populations and experiencing living different lifestyles. I have worked with a wide range of clients including those that struggle with autism spectrum disorders, substance abuse disorders, process addictions like self-harm and eating disorders, depression, anxiety, dual-diagnosed clients, ADHD, and interpersonal issues. The majority of my experience has been with adolescents and collegiate aged individuals and/or addiction populations.
I operate from a client-centered approach. I believe that understanding how you see yourself and the world around you is the first step towards helping you address the issues you would like to work on. I utilize various other counseling techniques that may be helpful to your unique situation and tailor treatment to each individual.
I believe that asking for help is the bravest thing a person can do. If people are willing to meet halfway, then I will be here to support you in meeting your goals and becoming the person you want to be.
I look forward to walking with you in this journey.

Spent a few months on Betterhelp with Alex and I learned alot about myself that I couldn't figure out on my own without her help. Each sessions I came out of with something new and insightful. The systems on the platform that didn't really help the Therapists she managed to work through each week with grit. She was very considerate and comforting to chat with each session and that was consistent throughout my time on the platform. Hope to work with her again when possible.

Very intuitive and understanding to my needs. I always look forward to our session and find them all to be different and helpful every time. She is consistently professional with helping me and gives me tools to work through issues on my own time too.

Alex is the Best!
I am so lucky to have found her when I did. She saved me and has helped me through some dark times. Each week we work on improving my understanding of the world and those around me. I like how the work is never done. I believe that self-improvement is a journey, not a destination.
I am a loner with few people who I am close enough with to connect at a deeply personal level, so (for someone like me) having access to a professional who remembers everything we’ve discussed in the past and who genuinely cares for my mental health and well being is a gift and a privilege that cannot be overstated.

I've had a few therapists and Alex is the best. She's caring, intelligent, and actually recommends actions for you to take, and solutions to work towards. I prefer this style over having a therapist who only listens. Alex has been a big help.

Alexandria has really helped in a short time and she provides me with “homework” which has been activities I can practice to start helping with my situation. She is a great listener and makes this process easy for me.

I've only spent a few weeks with Alex, but it's been so great! She's patient and kind while also confronting my unhelpful beliefs in a way where I feel safe and like we're on the same team. All in all, it's been a great experience. I wish I would have started sooner!

5/5 stars
She really helped me work through a number of issues and helped me process how to deal with a difficult time in my life. She has availability in the evening, which is very convenient as I have a full time job during the day. She is not afraid to tell you when you are in the wrong, but she isn't going to make you feel bad about it. Working with her, I think I have made real progress and her advice and support was critical to that progress.

I’ve been seeing Alexandria throughout my pregnancy and she has helped me with so many aspects. Each session she gives me something to work on for the week and every time it has been extremely helpful. She does such a good job at giving me an unbiased perspective on things while also being compassionate. In addition to helping me work through the crazy emotions of pregnancy she has encouraged me to focus on my physical health. This was a completely unexpected result of therapy, but I now see the importance in the results I’m getting. This last week my partner pointed out the positive difference he’s seen in my mental state since I started. This chaotic time in my life has significantly improved thanks to Alexandria.

She’s been so helpful these past few weeks. I’ve been going to therapy for years and it’s rare that I just connect with a therapist instantly like I have with her. Always asking meaningful questions and willing to listen and help break down the emotions you’re feeling.

Alex successfully taught me to understand and cope with my travel anxiety and fears. I was struggling with anxiety attacks and fear about returning to “normal” life after a lengthy pandemic lockdown period, and worried that I’d never be able to enjoy traveling again after some difficult past experiences.
Her help could not have come at a better time, as the strategies she taught me helped me keep my anxiety more controlled through both a crowded, turbulent plane trip and an unexpected family medical emergency. I am confident in my ability to handle these stressful events in the future.
I’ve felt misunderstood in the past by other therapists who were too eager to talk right away about medication, didn’t address how my ADHD can make some things more difficult, or didn’t fully understand adult ADHD. Alex took my other conditions like ADHD and stress migraines into account when making recommendations, which was a huge help, and I really felt listened to.

Alex is wonderful! I’m pretty new with her, but I can already tell she has a really strong understanding of LGBT issues and how to help LGBT patients. She’s so friendly and professional and responsive. Wonderful experience so far.
